In 1984, John Nehme (J.N.) opened a small pizza shop at the corner of Cyrville and Meadowbrook, in Ottawa’s east end where residential neighborhoods meet the city’s industrial sector.

What began as a modest take-out and delivery spot offering pizza and a selection of Italian dishes soon evolved. A few years later, when a neighboring scuba diving shop closed, John — an avid sports enthusiast — seized the opportunity to expand the business into a full-service restaurant with a sports bar. The addition proved to be a great success, attracting local workers from the nearby industrial area who would stop in for lunch, dinner, or stay well into the evening for drinks.

With the support of his wife Yolla and family, the restaurant grew into a well-loved east end institution, known for serving some of the city’s best ‘Ottawa-style’ pizza and classic diner fare. Over time, the space expanded to include pool tables and dart boards, eventually becoming a hub for local pool and dart leagues.

After 30 successful years, John passed the torch to his son-in-law Ray Aouad and his brothers Eddy, Joe, and Fred, who proudly carry on the tradition of great food and family.
